India has 1.77 million handloom weavers to provide health insurance
Private General Insurance Corporation of India (ICICI) for the 29 states nationwide to participate in its health insurance plan to provide health insurance, handloom weavers, covering 1.77 million families.
Under this plan, handloom workers and their families will receive insurance and critical health care. The company has also provided 827,000 one weaver 700 free clinics, as well as 131 health camps, benefiting 75,000 patients.
Health insurance for the poor, is a hand-loom worker benefits, because they can only rely on the meager income to pay medical expenses.
